    Hi,

Was wondering if anyone has stayed in the Premier Inn Plus rooms ? If so did you think it was worth the extra money ? I'm looking to book a 6 night stay on the south coast in September and think it was around £10-£15 extra per night for the Premier Plus rooms.

    Thanks
I think they include High Speed Wi-Fi as well
The standard PI Wi-Fi is pretty dire

The faster wifi could be useful, as you say the regular PI wifi isn't much good for much good other than basic browsing.

I would say it depends on how much you'd be in the room and would use the extras.

The only thing that I valued was the better shower.

There was nicer décor, pod coffee, same tea, more upmarket plumbed-in shampoo etc
As I mostly drink lattes, I didn't get much utility from the nicer coffee and aren't a Green & Blacks fan.

I usually bring a Firestick for TV and that works fine via their standard Wi-Fi too.

Its fine for business use - if you are a gamer you might find different. One thing I like about PIs (standard rooms) is that is has plenty of sockets and separate USB ports.

We stay at Premier Inns on a regular basis on locations around the country and alway aim to stay in a 'Plus' room if available. We find the fridge is useful and also the coffee machine. However, a couple of weeks ago we had 2 nights at their new Paddington Station hotel, as we had a very early train to catch the following morning. We were appalled to discover there were no clothes hangers, nor any place to hang clothes, other than 3 small hooks. We had brought a couple of hangers with us, so resorted to using the TV and other places to hang clothes. We paid £368 for the 2 nights – a few hangers and a rail wouldn't have added significantly to the construction costs of the hotel!

I'd pay extra for an opening window. PI have lost a lot of my business as the first thing I do now is to check Trip Advisor to make sure I'm not sealed in! There's nothing worse than stale air/damp that you can't directly vent through a window to the atmosphere. And no, the Air Con/Heating system is not adequate for those purposes as they like to maintain.

I find the seating in Premier Inn rooms to be so uncomfortable.

Depends: yes the 'desk' chairs are not great, but the armchairs are usually OK for me. Just home from a weekend in a PI where there was no desk (suspect it had been damaged somehow), so we had two desk chairs round a round table. The missing desk looked very odd!
