APCOA Manchester Parking fine

So my dad has received a few pcns and 5 reminders from DRP stating that he needs to pay. I’ve had a read through some of the forums, and mostly just want clarification. A few PCNs and then DRP letters were sent because I forgot to pay the charge on the day. The original charge was on the 19th of April 2025.
My dad hasn’t updated the cars V5 and all the letters have been sent to the previous address. He has also contacted DRP, told them he intends to pay and that they have the wrong address but would first talk to APCOA. Obviously, it was the wrong thing to do, but my dad was worried it would affect his credit and got into contact with them.
My questions are, do we just continue ignoring the letters? If my dad contacts, APCOA now, stating that it was me who was driving, does that restart the whole appeal process? What are the chances of APCOA taking us to court? Do they ever take anyone? Since it was over 3 months ago now, can I still appeal to POPLA?

Apcoa wont take you to court
Contact apcoa and drp as your dad and have them update the address to yours.
Very common way of removing such stuff from parents who want to pay and it works2 -
It's not a fine - it's an invoice for a perceived breach of contract.2

There is no 'my side' from your POV because these are your Dad's daft charges to ignore.
He simply contacts DR Plus quoting their ref (and not by phone) and updates his address for service to you.
Or...
...he, Fred Blogs at old address, emails and names the driver as Fred Blogs at new address. He doesn't lie that you were driving.
Either of the above emails mean letters will come in his name (but to your house). Then you do the ignoring and tell him to calm down and block their number if he phoned them...but he didn't phone them surely?! Nobody phones these people.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
