Car dilemma, help!

I could get 70mpg too but............only by not going that fast on dual carriageways and motorways etc. Basically, the milder elements of hypermiling, but none of the dodgy stuff such as tailgating HGVs etc. And I don't think achieving 60mph on a single would also correlate to 70mpg. So I never doubted you! The smoothness needed to achieve good economy in an ICE car is somewhat lost on a hybrid or electric, because there aren't the same gains to be made (because of things like regen braking etc). Its still helps, just less.
Anyway, its in the past now, unless you find and buy another Qashqai.
I'm all for buying an older, cheaper car if it does the job you need it to, rather than spending more on a newer.1 -
I actually have an update since yesterday, I did some refinancing quotes last night and managed to save £51 per month across both cars we have on finance! £44 on the MG and £7 on my Husband's car, so simple and definitely worth doing if you're on HP or PCP. (HP for us). Not sure if I'm allowed to share company names but I used a comparison site for car refinancing, and got a lower APR on both HP contracts without extending the terms, even if we decide to sell in the future, it'll deffo help - I also found insurance for the MG that was £10 p/month cheaper, don't think it's worth changing now due to the cancellation fee and how long is left, but it gives me hope for the future!
Thanks everyone
