Nexus parking

Options
Hi frustrated Newbie here

On the 4 May I parked in Salcey Forest had my lunch and then purchased a ticket. for over two hours on the 13 May I received a PCN for £50 but if paid within 14 days it was reduced to £25. I appealed against this charge (Appeal Ref 14165418.) (Can't recall the date I appealed) I sent a copy of the Receipt, it has no information of registration etc, just the payment charge.

We were in the process of moving house and put the PCN in my accounts folder to review when I get to my new house. I arranged for Royal Mail to redirect my post but after being in the house for a month I had not received a reply to my appeal. Checked on-line to see whether the charge had been wiped but the charge now is £120.

I have sent an enquiry via email appealing against the increase to customerservices@nexus.org.uk on 18July at 11:51 to get them to discuss the matter with me.  Have I done the right thing, or do I just suck it up and pay the £120????

    You definitely do not pay

I would expect that they sent an email rejection which probably came into your spam folder

If you have complained, using the complaint link on the right of the BPA AOS members list,  then wait for the reply,  but do check your spam folder as well as your inbox

Why haven't you tried plan A?
I suspect that you received this charge because you didn't pay quick enough, you haven't told us why.
You say you had lunch then purchased a ticket if you paid for 2 hours and was on site for up to two hours there is no reason why you should have been charged, although they will dispute that in their greed, pity you already appealed as Nexus are a bit dim you have shot yourself in the foot there.
This site belongs to The Forestry Commission, and they seem to have their own COP in addition to the Joint BPA/IPC COP, they also talk in that about "Penalties" which is a no no, and they don't actually mention any PPC only ticketing by their "Rangers" and administering ANPR by themselves, I used to be a member at Wendover and their left hand was independent of the right there too  :D  !
But within that document it does have a route of complaint which you should get going on straight away.
The Forestry Commission are bound by the BPA joint COP and yet they use the word "fine" which is sanctionable by the BPA as misrepresentation of authority:

Can I display my membership card, a photocopy of my parking disc, or my confirmation email in my window instead?

No, neither of these can be accepted, the card is only used for obtaining discounts and your confirmation email is for your reference only. Photocopies are not accepted. The membership parking disc or temporary membership document are the only items that will be accepted. Either must be on display in your vehicle when visiting the forest. Failure to display a valid parking disc, temporary membership document, or day parking ticket will result in you receiving a parking fine. If you have received a temporary membership document, this can be used for the period stated and within the terms stated on the document.

Nice one @Castle more information confirming this specifically noting this site here so this is not relevant land:
The parking charges applied by the Forestry Commission are based on the Forestry Commission Byelaws 1982. Previously local Rangers and foresters have been responsible for enforcement at each visitor site. Some of the Forestry Commission’s venues have extensive facilities with several hundred parking spaces while other sites are more remote with limited or no parking
