my daughter purchased a car from Trade Centre UK on the 12/07/2025 after driving it a few miles she noticed a fault with it firstly the body paint has been applied with a brush the front bumper is stuck on which looks like super glue the rear bumper is painted the same there is a stone chip in door there is paint missing above both front wheel arches the o/s headlight does not work.there is chip in the windscreen which was covered with a by trade centre.there is a rumbling that gets worse from n/s wheel the engine top mount has too much play the car no vibrates when stationary.
We took it back two days after purchase seeking a refund,Trade centre said we can not have a refund for cosmetics of the vehicle but for the other defects the car has to be inspected and we was told to wait for a inspection date, its been two weeks now lots of phone calls to the aftersales team with no answer and visits to the trade centre to be fobbed of by a sales man that they would call or email us.we know what they are doing they are stalling so we have no rights to a refund.could someone help with what our next move would be its getting very stressful for us.

Anyway, the clock stopped when you notified them of the problems, so they can't run down the clock so you have no rights.
Where is the car at the moment? Hopefully it's with them because if you want to reject it, you shouldn't be driving it about. If it's with them, wait for the inspection and come back for more advice when it's done.0 -
Email them with the words complaint in the title, and detail exactly what happened and when, and what you want the outcome to be - if they are trying to stall, then the email trail will act as evidence that you raised the issue within the warranty period.0

That could mean putting it through an MOT.Does it have a full MOT, any advisories? You can check online.

Here are your rights https://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/advice/the-car-i-bought-has-a-problem-what-are-my-rightsDefinitely some of the issues she should have noticed when inspecting/ test driving car before purchase. In any case, put complaint in writing saying you reject car and want a refund. She is still within the first 30 days. How did she pay for the car?

Does she want a refund? The rumbling and play in the engine mount are enough to reject the car, but they are potentially easy things for the dealer to fix.The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0
