Charity Donations in gratitude for help received?

Would it be against the principles of this forum if those who have been helped are able to give donations to a charity in recognition of the free advice received?
Maybe a Just Giving page which would also keep track of the total amount raised.

I think that you would have to ask the MSE admins, not just regarding parking company cases or the subsequent litigation, but ANY advice on ANY topics here on MSE, be it financial, tax, mortgages, CCJs etc2

Hi @Serigala ,
Giving to charity is always nice, and if an individual user feels motivated to make a donation to an organisation of their choosing after getting help on the Forum then that's lovely.
However, that is a personal choice and we wouldn't want to get in the realms of setting up a donations page/tracker (or suggesting a user set one up). While we appreciate the kind intentions behind your idea, the Forum is designed to be a free MoneySaving resource, and we don't want users to ever feel any hint of obligation to pay something - even if it's to charity.
All the best,
