Coach House Flying Freehold

I'm looking at the option of buying the freehold of my property. There are currently around 90 years left on the lease. The only issue is I have a coach house, so under part of my property is access to a communal car park around the back of the house. Is this going to be massively complicated, and should I just keep it…

A flying freehold with the correct rights and covenants would likely be better (although potentially more complex on future sales) than a full freehold where you become responsible for maintaining the access way to the parking area. You'd need to ask what they would be selling to you so you could decide whether you are happy with the proposal. But buying the freehold would also mean changing the arrangement for estate charges, and you might prefer to keep your leaseholder protections on these.
