Amazon - Used - Like New - "Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged."

Options
Bought this on sale during the prime day sales for £1031 as it was 20 % off at the time. There was also one on there in "Very Good" condition -  but it said "Item will come in original packaging. Missing screen foil." I contacted Amazon telling them that mine was also missing the screen foil. I got a refund of 10% on top if I wanted to keep the item. I don't think it's a bad deal. I was also able to register Apple Care on it as well.

    Well done.
    But what’s a screen foil?
and if they said it would be missing why did you need compensating for its absence?
just curious.  Glad you got a good deal.

Screen foil - the bit you peel of a screen that protects the screen/keeps it clean

Compensating - because the one advertised without the screen foil was cheaper than the one the OP bought, which also did not have the screen foil

Just remember OP you will probably only be able to do this once or twice, after that they may flag and/or close your account, if they decide you are not a good customer and are costing them money.

Thank you for the warning. I thought it was a legit reason. I got the phone which looked like it fitted the very good condition description.
