Genuine item sold on eBay, manufacture says it fake

I ordered a product from the retailer on Amazon.
Decided against using it but couldn’t return due to Amazon policy. (Hygiene).
I sold the item last week, shipped and it has been delivered (free postage).
eBay have just emailed me to say the manufacturer claim it is fake and therefore the buyer has been refunded.
The email gives me right to appeal, if I get in contact with the manufacturer at a ‘noreply@‘ email address.
The manufacturer has no contact details on their website and their instagram does not allow new message requests.
Any ideas how I can prove this.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like its a marketplace order and wouldnt be the first case Amazon marketplace sellers have been caught selling fakes.3 -
Would be easier if you could tell us the manufacturer.
Another possibility to the above is that the buyer has bought a genuine product from the OP, and then sent a fake product to the manufacturer to be provided with a document stating the product is not real... send that to eBay, get a refund, job done they've successfully swapped a fake item for a real one.
Not suggesting that is what happens, there are many possibilities. Merchants can (and often do) piggyback off listings selling fake products - on Amazon who were the goods stated as sold by (not dispatched by).Know what you don't1 -
Thank you for your replies. The manufacturer claimed to eBay that it was fake, not the buyer. The seller on Amazon was the manufacturer.
I have managed to contact eBay and I admit I misunderstood their message; I was under the impression the buyer had been refunded, but they have not, it was just a notice that I had breached the copyright and the listing was removed and fees refunded.
Thank you again for your replies, issue resolved.0
