XO to II Mess and can't sell/close account

Options
I closed my II account after being dissatisfied 18 month ago.

I have an account with XO.

Now it has migrated from XO, II say I've got an existing II account and when I'm logged into my migrated account I can see all my old account (I asked them to remove 18 months ago) and it's now live and a fee is due again this month.

I complained via secure message and was told my account was not reopened.

"Upon reviewing your account, I can confirm that your previous ii accounts have not been reopened. The account you currently see is the one that migrated from XO."

Total rubbish as this 2nd account was showing in my portfolio before I sent the message, and I've just received a paper letter in the post saying "We're sorry to see you go" dated when I sent the secure message with my old account reference.

So my details remained on their system from over 18 months ago, and the secure message is a fib, they closed my old account again for a 2nd time and their systems sent a paper letter on the day I sent a secure message.

Anyways, I'm uncomfortable with the way they have behaved here, I want to get away from II asap.

I have two transfered holdings from XO that I can not sell.

One is a total expensive 100% loss in a company called "SAN LEON ENERGY PL ORD EUR0.01 (CDI)"
II say I  could give these away to remove them from my account using "Donate Stock To ShareGift"

The other gives me an error when I try to sell.
These are
Permanent TSB Group Holdings PTSB
I think I need to print and send a load of exchange agreement paperwork which I don't really want to.

Is there an option to transfer everything out to another company like XO and then sell?
Is it ok to just get rid (gift) the old San Energy, or is it worth me trying to transfer and keep them (Are they worthless now and forever?)

Seems you have the answers already.

There's no market for San Leon Energy shares. The company's shares were suspended from trading in 2023 and subsequently delisted from the LSE in 2024 due to failure to file audited accounts.

These people look as if they could assist, although a mystery to me how even a charity can  monetise valueless shareholdings.

    https://www.sharegift.org/donate-shares/donation-faq/#:~:text=Yes.,question, we can accept them.

Sharegift is the trading moniker for the charity The Orr Mackintosh Foundation which is properly recorded on the Charity Commission website. So seems kosher enough.

Costs nothing to be the registered owner of the shares. Pure punt.
