Morning all and thanks @Gers for starting us off. Yesterday we had lots of sun with a light breeze and it was comfortably warm, a far cry from what was forecast. Today is supposed to be a day of light cloud with only a slight chance of a shower later on the evening.
Yesterday was satisfyingly productive. First off I had a trip to the Co-op for my refund and I also came home with a couple of long-dated clearance items that are now in the pantry. Washing done and dried but the planned bathroom clean was postponed in favour of finishing off emptying the rest of the planters while the weather was good. All done, some binned and the ones I've kept just need a clean out. Vacuum filter washed, still drying. Cross stitch baby welcome card nearly finished and just two seams of a knitted jumper left to sew up.
Today I'm struggling with a sore hip - maybe I overdid it yesterday or maybe I've just been sleeping in an awkward position - so I'll have a "gentle" day today.Tea tonight is a cheese & ham kyiv with wedges and side salad.
@TA - Hooray, you've reached the end of the eye journey! Happy new glasses when they're ready which, hopefully, won't be too long.
@AA - Welcome back, glad you enjoyed your break.
@Izzy - I agree with Gers, they'd soon find you if you owed them money. Fingers crossed your new sofa arrives tomorrow as planned 'cos it won't be comfortable on that garden chair!
@Rosy - That sounds like a lovely afternoon tea in good company.
@Gers - Good luck with the car insurance, that's a shocking hike in the price. Shame about yet more ABs, those midges have a lot to answer for.
@Ruby - I hope today goes well with your new person and his mum. So sorry you're still having to battle to get the money you're owed.
@TTB - There might be only one thing on your To Do list but it's a biggie - good luck!
@Chrisca - As one of my "gentle" tasks today, I might take a leaf out of your book to look for a new home for a savings account maturing in the next few days.
Take care all, hugs if needed, enjoy your day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.13
