It is in many areas. You’d be surprised.

Many water companies only guarantee 1 bar
I think all water companies only guarantee 1 bar, as that is the legal minimum, even if they supply at much higher pressure.
    Could be wrong though.

The fact that the pressure drops when the taps are turned on suggests the filler loop hasn’t been closed after repressurising.
Thanks, the guide u sent suggests it should be left open once repressured?

    Internal Filling Loop (Keyed)

Locate the key this will usually be on a flap underneath the boiler or it may have been provided you as part of the installation

    • On the front right hand side you'll notice an open black port and this is where the key fits
    • You'll notice a picture of an open padlock and a closed padlock and on the white key there is an arrow on the shaft, align the arrow with the open padlock as you push it up into the open port
    • Turn the key and watch the pressure rise to just over one bar
    • Turn the key back to the open padlock and remove. Be mindful of any water dripping

The wording and symbols are a bit misleading.  Turning it back to the open padlock sign and removing the key should close the filler loop.

Just topped up my boiler after having a service. In the past, pressure was around 1.4 bar. Today, a measly 1.2.

May be the lower head of water in many reservoirs at the moment could have a bearing on that.

Inserting the key and moving it to the LOCK position opens the pathway to pressurize the system, it does not start the water flow, to do so you have to turn the square white knob anticlockwise.

Once up to pressure, close that side and remove the key, there will always be a few drips when you do so.

Absolutely. Strange from Worcester Bosch though. “Lock” opens the loop and “unlock” closes it.

Served by a mix of boreholes and river extraction in my area. What few reservoirs we have are all pretty close to sea level, so have to rely on electric pumps for volume and pressure.
