Candy Washing Machine - 13 months old

Hi folks,
I’ve had my Candy washing machine develop a fault after 13 months of use - delivered end-June 24.
I purchased from AO and used PayPal Pay in 3. Looking online it appears warranty is only for a year and thereafter is parts only.
Im wondering if I have any recourse through the consumer rights act to argue for a free of charge repair as I don’t think it failing after 13 months seems like a robust product?

Grateful for any advice otherwise looks like I’m shelling out £160 for their labour charge…

Needs something to show the issue is a “fault” rather than misuse or such as burden of proof is on the consumer after 6 months.Typical advice is have a local appliance repair person out to put something on paper, if in your favour go back to AO for a repair (plus a refund of the inspection).
Alternatively you could get the inspection, have the appliance repair person repair and seek the costs from AO as damages. If you don’t get anywhere with CS, have a look on the CEO email website for AO and if there is a contact use that for communications.
If there isn’t or they don’t reply you can try the financial complaints emails (you don’t have a financial complaint with AO as you didn’t use their finance but they might fire it higher up).
Really first step is showing on the balance of probability (I.e 50/50) that the machine is “faulty”.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
You'll need to show that you haven't misused and that may depend on your circumstances. My machine has lasted 12 years so far but I'm on my own, no nappies and don't wash the kit for my football team!Edited to add, check the model number on-line to see if you can find in various forums any mentions of specific faults.0
