Hi.
My mum died some 9 years ago. Probate didnt take too long but still it has not been finalised. To make matters even worse, it is my late fathers firm of solicitors who are dealing with it. There are 3 executors and 2 of my 3 siblings inheritance is in trust, complicating things. I have already complained to the `Legal Ombudsman to be told time and again they are very busy. The solicitors are now blanking my requests for an update on the situation. Any advice would be so welcome as I am getting to the end of my tether.

If solicitors are refusing to speak with you then as in another similar post; I would arrive early at their office with book and provisions and sit there until they do answer your quations. Hopefully they are located not too far away and that you have the time to do this.

do you have any contact with the neighbour or the old senior partner ( if still alive ) - I think there is a process whereby you can request removal of executors

@DE_612183, we have been told a number of times by the solicitors that we are not allowed to contact the executors directly

Rubbish. You can contact anyone - although whether you get a reply is another matter.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

It sounds like the executors have asked the solicitors to deal with the estate on their behalf.
