Ideas for photographing pages quickly.

Thanks, all.
I'm going to suggest playing safe - just pics.0 -
I'd still recommend cutting the pages out of the binding and using a scanner with sheet feeder.WIAWSNB said:

If you're reluctant do that for some reason then consider using the OneNote app; it'll automatically detect the page outlines and let you collate multiple images into one note.1 -
If you want to preserve the binding, then museums use a stand to hold books open without breaking the spine. It's a V shape. So the pages stay open at the right page, but without opening the book flat. If you place the book in such a stand, you should be able to flick through the pages pretty quickly while photographing them.If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
I'm assuming the binding is fixed, and destruction will not be an option.
Anyhoo, I've carried out some test shots, and clarity, detail and focus are just not a problem.
Modern cameras are wow 😳0 -
Wait until you see what an old camera can do. Lens shift & tilt (OK, you can get a shift'n'tilt for *igital). Rise & fall, left & right shift, Some can do it with the back as well as at the front. Focus from infinity down to macro level without changing lens.. Clean sensor for every shot. Choice of sensor size all the way up to 20x24 inches for "standard" products, although most sizes above 10"x8" are special order. Larger sizes may be available to special order, but you are limited to around 50" in width unless you coat your own.WIAWSNB said:

Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –
