Do MSE forum posts hold merit in county court cases?

Do MSE forum posts believed to be that of the defendant hold merit as part of a defence (when used as an exhibit in a witness statement to claim admission from the defendant). Would a judge take this into account?

Just curious. Tried to search for this on the forum but could't find any results.

Thanks

Excel tried to use it in the Lamilad case a decade ago,  but it probably hasnt featured very often,  hence finding no results

Theoretically, but these are small sums of money in the grand scheme of things. Trawling forums on the off-chance one of your tickets features along with some sort of lying going on is a waste of time.

Social media is admissable in a court of law as evidence. Hence why stories are invented , embellished , twisted to deflect etc and people refer to themselves in the third party sense.

A judge's job is to judge based on what's presented to them, so really it depends...

    1) Can they prove you are the poster?
    2) What was written in the post?
    3) What other evidence do they have?
    4) What is your defence?
    5) Does 2 and 4 contradict each other?

On matters other than parking tickets we've used social media posts in court as evidence against the other party's witness statement etc.

Do you mean a PPC has quoted in their WS, an MSE thread suggesting that the OP is you and that you admitted to driving/breaching terms?

The judge will tell them where to go! We've seen this before and judges will not allow it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
