This could open the flood gates but we have quite a bright living room. We've had a techwood 55" tv for 5 years and I can honestly say its been brilliant. In the dark the colours and definition are still excellent but something has been failing in terms of brightness for about 6 months now and watching dark movies is a no no ( lol )
Anyway ideally around the £5-800 mark but would go higher if its special.
55 to 65"
We watch movies, sports etc
What about
TCL C855K (65C855K) vs TCL C855K (65C855K)
cheers

Not the latest model but it has all their best tech, now much reduced and to get the VIP price all you have to do is register.
I bought this TV in December and it is brilliant.

Just a general comment, OLED is much better for contrast (black looking black rather than grey ) than LED (QLED or whatever the brand call their LED TV’s ) , not that there is anything wrong with LED TV’s but in a bright room OLED may be a better bet , OLED is considered to be the best type of screen tech .0

My mini LED TV has much greater peak brightness than OLED TVs costing 2-3 times as much.
Unless you are a hypercritical professional TV reviewer, all the blacks on my TV are black, LOL.

Perhaps I’m biased, but my OLED TV displays black as black , every LED screen I’ve seen black isn’t truly black , but as stated I’m not critical, I’ve 4 TV’s around the house , including ‘fancy’ LED technology, only one is OLED and is easily the better one , but the others are absolutely fine , and deliver perfectly acceptable pictures, I doubt you will find any ‘professional’ reviews from publications or retailers that put QLED or any version of it ahead of OLED in a direct comparison , but I’d agree that for most that the £1000 - £1500 for a modest size OLED screen is probably not worth the expense compared to a similar size QLED/LED screen that’s half the price….horses for courses , but as the OP states it a bright room , the superior contrast may be worthwhile.0

LED cannot fully turn off , so black can never be truly black on a LED screen .0
