POPLA rejected my dispute

Options

Dear All,

Unfortunately, I made a mistake by not checking here first and went ahead with disputing a parking ticket issued by Tesco (Horizon Parking), and later with POPLA, for a company car. Both appeals were rejected.

Before proceeding with the £70 payment, I wanted to ask if there are any remaining options and whether it's worth pursuing further, or just paying and moving on.

The incident happened on a Sunday, when I stayed in the Tesco car park for 50 minutes. I wasn’t aware that the parking limit on Sundays is reduced to 15 minutes instead of the usual 60. In all honesty, I found the signage unclear and not very straightforward.

Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Surely some periods are covered by two scenarios on that sign.

EG 8pm Sunday. Covered by the first and the third. Clear as mud.

I would leave it now until you get a court claim.

Court is the only realistic battleground for settling this dispute between yourself and Horizon Parking  ( within the next 6 years   )

So do you think have a leg to stand on?

Wow, six years! Honestly, I was quite surprised that Popola didn’t understand where I was coming from—the sign was a bit misleading

What were you doing in the car park on a Sunday after store closing?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Clearly you just ignore them if you lost at POPLA. This is all covered in posts 3 and 4 of the Newbies thread.
