In Jam 2022 my mum passes away. My drug addict brother was living with her , but after her death he wouldn’t let me in her house to search for will or funeral plan. Stil haven’t been in house to this day. Anyway I put her estate into the hands of the coop as there was no will to be found and me and my brother were the only children. Mum had £77,000 in 2 bank accounts which this morning was put into our accounts but we have only received £25,000 each so where has the other £27,000 gone. I agreed fixed fee and yes bills had to be paid and funeral but that was only £3,500, so even if fee was £5,000 there’s stil lots missing. I need to know who to complain to . Wouldn’t recommend coop probate service to anyone. Wish I’d done it all myself

You should get a set of estate accounts if the estate was been wound up. Could this be an interim payment? 

Is the house rented? If not what is happening to that?

Who been paying for house upkeep in the 3 years?
When were banks informed of her passing, who has access to accounts?
