New home owner advice needed

Options
Hello all, new first time buyer here any advice from you wonderful people would be great.

Myself and partner are looking for a bank account that we can both deposit some of our earnings into, this bank account will solely be used for mortgage repayments and household bills. Is there any bank account that could have an advantage in this situation ie cash back or any other benefits?

I do currently have a Santander edge current account which seems some benefits but wanting a sole account just for the household bills. Not sure if the edge up would be more beneficial for this.

Thanks all

Edge Up has a higher limit of cash back that more than offsets the extra fee.

Chase also offers cash back but only on debit card payments and only for the first year. You may not be able to pay everything with debit card and/or the discount for DD may be higher than the cash back.

Packaged bank accounts are also worth considering for joint accounts, as the insurances and other perks will apply to both joint account holders, but only one monthly fee is charged.

But otherwise if it make sense for you, a joint Edge/Edge Up account is probably the easiest option. If you're then going to move all your bills to the joint account, make sure to downgrade any sole Edge accounts to the fee-free Everyday account so you don't get charged fees for an account you're not using.
