Telegraph_Sam said:I noticed today that my Aurora Power One invertor control panel has been displaying "Missing grid", the power light is flashing and the alarm has been illuminated. There is no display on the meter. Now that darkness has fallen everything is blank. The co based in Newcastle that installed the unit 13 years ago has now moved from domestic to commercial installations so there is some doubt as to them fixing the problem. Can anyone recommend anyone in the North East (I live between Durham and Newcastle, DH2) who I could approach?
The 16 panels are Conergy Noir PP 250 w. South facing / bungalow.

From elsethread:Telegraph_Sam said:I had solar panels installed 23 years ago including an Aurora inverter. Basically trouble free until very recently. My installer no longer does domestic installations and it turns out is not willing to help with servicing and repairs. And not willing to recommend a source for an alternative contractor. Most of the installers from back then have ceased trading (mine certainly has) so your situation isn't unusual.Telegraph_Sam said:I have just had two instances of an MCB tripping. It might be a job for a "normal" electrician. But to get to the root cause might require a SV specialist engineer.
