I live on a seafront front in a large seaside town.  I the last year 2 motor bikers have been killed after coming off the bike doing at least 60 mph in what is a 30 mph area.

I have walked along the seafront this morning and seen 2 motor bikers riding recklessly doing a minimum of 60 mph. At this time of the year the area is full of tourists, children, elderly people.

Given the 2 fatalities is anyone likely to be looking at cameras or other enforcement measures and if so who.....

I am not a general fan of speed cameras, however this seems to be a classic case of need!

Police enforce the speed limit with speed cameras /speed guns.

The speed limit for a road is set by the local traffic authority, probably the local council.

I had a similar concern on my road and sent a query to the local police Road Safe scheme.  They replied and said they would look in to the situation.  That was over a year back and nothing has happened.

You didn't say where specifically you are but likely the local police have something similar.  I got the info from the NextDoor social media site.

Roadside speed cameras are funded installed and maintained by the highway authority, not the police.
