As mentioned by someone else, if you post a picture with your personal information obscured, it would end the speculation on both here and the facebook group as to whether these posts are true or not. I’m sure if you are genuine, then you wouldn’t mind doing in it?Carpetbeetle999 said:Hi everyone, quick update. I've received my final response from the FOS at 9.20 this morning and they are siding with Satander. It's a pretty long winded email which goes into the reasons why and I won't bore you with the details surfice to say it's more or less the same statement as the first person who posted about their final response. As I've said on here, I was always in it for the long run but I had a feeling it wasn't going to go our way so opened a Virgin account last week and will be doing the transfer over at the weekend. As previously mentioned I think I was one of the first to go to the ombudsman in mid July so I'd expect that everyone will be hearing from the FOS immently.
To those taking this further with small claims court etc I wish you good luck but for me it's time to move on. Thanks to you all for the sounding board on here, it's been great for the most part.

Yes, I agree. A simple request to end the speculation.born_again said:
Perhaps post a pic of letter (personal details redacted) might stop the another not real post 👍Carpetbeetle999 said:Hi everyone, quick update. Just wondering, what would anyone's motivation be to post a fake FOS response?1

Hi all, I'm hoping to avoid any further speculation by posting this. I've redacted both mine and the FOS investigators details just in case of any legal issues. Sorry, but this is the best I can do. I quite understand that not everyone's situation will be the same as mine but this response from the FOS gives an insight into how they think about the situation. As you can see, the response is from an investigating officer and not a full blown ombudsman and I'm sure that others on this platform will want to take it all the way and I genuinely wish you good luck. Sorry but it won't be me. Apologies, but the photos have loaded out of sync but they are numbered. Over and out!

They could possibly work for Santander and posted it hoping people will give up their fight against them? Big companies have people that are employed to enhance their social media presence and profiles. All that they have to do is post the official response from the ombudsman and it would end the so called conspiracy theories on here and the facebook group.clairec666 said:Just wondering, what would anyone's motivation be to post a fake FOS response?0 -

So, it's yet another 'investigator' (aka Santander fanboy
) response.
I understand that, for you, the fight is over. However, it's surely worth a few moments of time to escalate it to an actual Ombudsman?

The point is to keep a record of the posted images which the poster could later remove. It happens a lot.dcs34 said:
A polite piece of advise - please don't quote a post full of large images directly above yours just to say 'thanks' - the 'thanks' button is right there.Beetle63 said:Thanks for sharing this2 -
Yes, there's no significant effort required to ask FOS to escalate to an Ombudsman final decision - you can just reply to the email asking them to do it.amyfairweather said:So, it's yet another 'investigator' (aka Santander fanboy
