Here we have a dispute over "unlimited Yorkshire puddings" no longer being unlimited:

No legal responsibility can be accepted by the Daily Mail and This is Money for answers given.amyfairweather said:Here we have a dispute over "unlimited Yorkshire puddings" no longer being unlimited:

Are you going to use that article in your discussions with the FOS?amyfairweather said:Here we have a dispute over "unlimited Yorkshire puddings" no longer being unlimited:

Now the charges have kicked in, I wonder how long it will be before there will be an update on this.1

I have this morning quoted that clause in the Consumer Rights Act 2025 as additional evidence in my FOS complaint.MeteredOut said:

So what? No one has suggested suing the Daily Mail for giving an opinion.Renfrewman said:

I'm at the same point with my FOS complaint.GJS123 said:I have received the "holding" response from FOS saying my complaint will be assigned to an investigator some time in the future. FOS appears to operate at a glacial speed.Shortly, Santander will start charging for my "free forever" bank account. Should I close the account before that happens? It seems to me that I'm damned if I do (I will never get the account back and will have been deemed to have voluntarily closed it) and damned if I don't (if the complaint fails I will loose the charges up to the point where the complaint is finalised). What are others in the same situation doing? Thanks.
However, I've already switched my account and have/will close my Santander account as part of the switching process.
I've no interest in banking with a bank that doesn't want my business, but in answer to the FOS question of how would I like the complaint to be resolved, I've answered that I would like sufficient compensation to cover the cost of "not free" banking from now until I retire/cease business i.e. my "forever" as I have been driven away.
It's a longshot, I know, but I also take some satisfaction from knowing that I have cost Santander a few hundred pounds by getting my complaint as far as the FOS.

The same thing has been posted by what appears to be the same person on the Facebook group, again with no further information.
Until additional context can be provided, I'm taking that with a pinch of salt.
I had a message earlier from FOS asking for additional details, namely what I'd like doing "to make things right". On there, it said I'm still only at stage 2 out of 6, despite having submitted the complaint over 2 months ago.2
