who is responsible regarding tv

Hi im new to this forum and was after a little help not sure if im posting in the right section but im sure you great ppl will point me in the right direction

i brought a samsung tv from littlewoods catolouge last feb 07 so not 12 months old yet and the last 2 days it has switched itself off twice so im thinking get it sorted before i have had it 12 months .
phoned littlewoods and they say i should phone samsung but i always thought is was down to the retailer to fix the problem or replace .

so who is responsible samsung or littlewoods

    Littlewoods are responsible as they sold it to you. However all they will do is send it to Samsung to get fixed.

    Littlewoods are responsible but they will give you a telephone number for their engineer to go out to see if tv can be repaired. Unfortunatly you cannot refuse a repair as you have had the tv too long.

    You should be able to return the Item to Littlewoods, as it is upto Littlewoods to arrange the repair or replacement of faulty goods that are still under warranty.

    Thats true but all they will do is pass it on to Samsung, by contacting Samsung directly you are cutting out the middleman and hopefull it will be resolved quicker :)
  • yes but if samsung then replace the TV you haven't got the original that formed the contract with the retailer - doubt it would ever cause problems but you;re always safer going through the retailer.
