it is an account which does not pay interest, so tax is not an issue.

For the record, my brother and I are executors for our mother's estate. After seeing the Trustpilot reviews of Cater-Allen we decided to try and create an Executor's account with Lloyds because our mother already had had an account with them and we hoped to be able to follow the process to create such a joint account without both having to be in the same location or visit a branch. Long story short, after a lot of hassle, we gave up.
Issues included contradictory information from different Lloyds representatives. Being told that money cannot now even be paid IN to an Executor account before probate is granted respite their web information which contradicts this. It seems that either they are incompetent, or they are picking and choosing who they will accept as customers.0 -
Honestly. Just open a basic current account that doesn't pay interest in the names of the executors. Much simpler
