Smart Parking NTK

Hi All,

I received a parking charge notice from smart parking. This was in an area with several food related businesses but one of them has implemented control in their "area" there never used to be any control here and it's been in the local news having caught a lot of people out. The owner of the business just dismisses any appeal.

It's essentially free parking but you need to enter you registration on a tablet in the business.

The letter states there were signs on the entry but I don't recall seeing these, I can go back and get photos if it will help though.

alleged offence was 16/06/2025 and NTK issued on 30/06/2025, I received on 03/07/2025.

I have read as much as I can and Smart Parking are part of IPC so there is no point appealing ?

What is my best course of action ?

Appeal as keeper based on any recent similar case where the parking company have failed to comply with Pofa 2012,  so no keeper liability  !

If they reject the appeal and offer the IAS , then we usually recommend ignoring them

Thank's, is it because they didn't get it to me within 14 days ?

Can you point me in the direction of an example of what to say, I'm not great with computers sorry.
