Good morning, thanks Gers for starting. Apparently I'm human today, I gave up yesterday.
Its looking cloudy outside, but the nights are cooler, although it's set to rise to 25 degrees today.
I've been suffering with an attack of d and v (sorry if tmi). Where it came from I've no idea, but I wonder if I picked it up when I went shopping on Monday. I went to a couple of shops so can't blame one. Maybe we should go back to sanitizing the trolley handles. Anyway, feeling a bit better now, may try a piece of toast this morning. It has meant that I cant visit Mrs ND, but I'm sure we,ll catch up soon.
No idea what's happening today, still feeling a bit washed out, so will probably take it easy.
Ruby, hope you enjoyed your day at Butlins, was it Bognor? If so that's where my Dd met her OH.
Have a good day all, take care.12 -
Morning allNo problems getting on here today for a change.Went out into the garden earlier in my jim jams to water it as it's going to be a hot one today.Washing to hang out next and some hoovering and bathroom cleaning to day and then a nice sit out in the garden with my book before I see what match is worth watching at Wimbledon. This retirement lark is hard work!Hope everyone has a good day x12

Good morning 😊
Thank you for the start, @Gers
I am planning a kitchen day today - part cleaning, part cooking. For dinner, I’m making a courgette and tomato tart, a steak pie, garlic butternut wedges, and honey roast parsnips. The tart is relatively simple, as I’m using shop bought puff pastry, but for the steak pie, I am making a shortcrust. I also want to make up some lentil patties for lunches, and I came across a recipe for no knead honey and milk bread.
Chores:
1) Clean appliances ✅
2) Clear and clean windowsill ✅
3) Clean windows ❌
4) Sort and wipe cutlery drawer ✅
5) Sort through fridge ✅
6) Sweep and mop kitchen floor ✅
7) Wash down, and disinfect kitchen waste bin ✅
8) Wipe, and disinfect counter tops ✅
Think that will be enough for now.
Before then, I’m going to have a quiet cup of coffee.
Hope you all have a good day 😊

Morning again - so sorry to read about your poor DH @Taff - what a shock to the system. I hope that he feels better and less sore soon. As for @remmie - stay close to home!Yesterday was a glorious day, today we're back to low grey cloud and rain. I was very productive in the morning and early afternoon, not so much later.Today my cleaner is coming shortly so I've tidied up the coffee table where the bits and pieces accumulate, everything else is fine.Must awa' - take care everyone. Hugs all round.12

Morning all, gloomy morning and it must have rained during the night, and who left the garden cushions out, oh and a thick bath mat I forgot which had dried beautifully in the sun yesterday, grr,I'm another who gave up yesterday, after a few attempts I did get on only for the page to crash twice when I 'd almost finished typing.Well todays the day for DH knee op , has to go later this morning so was up very early so he could eat something. He hopefully will be back home tomorrow if all goes well. He had a physio appt yesterday & came back with exercise sheets etc..DS1 & I will just have something easy for tea.Take care all & I hope we are all human again today!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks. A cloudy start here but that pesky wind has dropped and it feels warm already. But as yet no sun.
Well my breakaway didn't get off to a good start on Monday and I was joining Mr Taff with his war wounds! I managed to tumble down the banking at the front of the caravan. When I say banking it's not a grassy bank it's a steep slope down to the field, comprising of brambles thistles, nettles and everything else with thorns and runners. By the time I had hauled myself back up I was full of bruises, thorn damage and nettle stings and feeling very sorry for myself. I feel less sore this morning but the battle scars are still evident. I won't be trying that trick again!
Anyway another lazy day ahead with reading, tennis and the Euros on the agenda. Ham salad for lunch and jacket spud with tuna mayo for tea. I am sticking to my menu plan again as it saves bringing too much food which ends up in the bin at the end of the week.
Have a good day folks if you can. I hope Mr Rosy's op goes well and Mr Taff is recovering nicely. Take care all stay safe x

I hope that you feel better soon, perhaps a day of sitting reading will help ease the pain.Good luck to @Rosy's OH. Knees are tricky things.

Take it easy today, @TravellingAbuela Hope you’re not too sore for very long.
Hope it all goes smoothly for your husband’s knee operation, @RosyRed8 -
Morning everyone
I too was an alien yesterday! Another sunny morning here, I'm planning to spend some time garden tidying this afternoon, and sitting reading too.
This morning I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa, then go for a few bits at Lidl. An electrician should come this afternoon; my kitchen fan won't switch off, it's been on since Friday now. The problem drain was unblocked on Monday, while I was at work so I was pleased to have it sorted.
Best get moving, hope everyone has a good day. TA take care x10
