SAR to PPC – Has Anything Changed?

Hi all,
I noticed that the section about SARs in the NEWBIE thread seems to have disappeared. Has anything changed since I last visited the forum?
I’m asking because I’ve received another invalid NTK, issued 13 days after the parking event (which I even paid). I was planning to send a SAR to the PPC to find out what information they hold about me, but I couldn’t find the post or the link to LegalBeagles anymore.
Please let me know if there’s any reason not to SAR, or if I’m missing something obvious.
Thanks!

No SAR. Better to let them not explain.
But if you are at first stage then appeal as keeper and try landowner complaint.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I couldn’t identify the landowner (not listed in the HM Land Registry — Map Coordinates: -85914 | 6806156, Latitude: 52.03334 | Longitude: -0.77178), but I have submitted an appeal as the keeper with the following:I write as the registered keeper. The notice is not compliant with Schedule 4 of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 because it was not “given” within the 14-day period required by paragraph 9(4)-(5). Consequently, under paragraph 4(1) I have no liability for the charge.I am under no obligation to identify the driver. Please confirm that the charge is cancelled or issue a POPLA/IAS code so that the matter can be disposed of.
They acknowledged receipt, but I’m still waiting for a reply.

The early SAR advice was removed mainly for truthful plausible deniability at future stages, like a no comment interview, prove your allegation !
The reason tends to be woeful or inadequate claims by so called professionals who don't know the basics, dont use correct English wordings and generally don't issue well thought out claims etc
I remember when we were advised to email a SAR before proceedings, early doors, but due to poor claims, I would now do it between the transfer of the claim to my local court and 2 months before the WS deadline listed in the court order, in order to obtain the details required for the WS ( Not needed at the appeal or defence stages )
Sometimes less is more ( plausible deniability )3
