Help with curtain size

My window size is 180 cm width x 130 cm height (from curtain pole to little below window sill)
What size of pencil pleat curtain I need to buy?
When it says 2 panels, does it mean sum of 2 panel width should be same as little bit more than my window's width?
The curtains will be hung from a corded curtain pole. I have a radiator below the window, so I don't want the curtain length (or height) too much.

Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

The length, as you said, needs to be where you want it to hang allowing extra for the hem and to turn the top under for the tape (at least 10cm).
Ideally, you'd have double the size of the of the pole in overall width but you can get away with a bit less. So you'd need 360cm wide (180 per curtain).
It also depends on the fabric as a pattern would need to be matched but that depends on the size of the pattern.1 -
you do need more width than "a little bit more than my window's width?" - usually double as the curtains go into folds when you draw up the pencil pleat tape. Also measure the pole or rail rather than the window

You need to measure the pole not the window. Say that is 200cm then for pencil pleats you need a curtain width before drawing up the pleats of 400cm, up to 500cm. Governed by the actual material width. So 5 widths of 80-100cm fabric or 4 widths of 100 to 125cm width fabric. Skimping on fabric will not produce a proper decorative pencil pleat effect below the pole. Skimpy widths are better hidden behind a pelmet/valance, using just plain gathering tape rather than the more expensive pencil tape. It is better to use more width of a cheaper fabric than buy something expensive but skimp on the fullness.0

It's a bit personal preference and location.
Double the width for each curtain or putting it a different way, each curtain the width of the pole so that when it's gathered it reaches half way across.
I like maximum light in so run with one and a half so that they pull right back.
Also when over a radiator I can tuck the hem onto the window sill so it keeps the cold out and max heat in.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

Are you thinking of buying "Ready made" curtains or "made to measure / making them yourself"0
