in Credit cards
I've been working on rebuilding my credit and my scores have finally increased to qualify for a 9month 0% balance transfer cc - i applied with the sole intention of shifting over my very expensive Zable CC and paying off during the offer period.
I was accepted for the new card and put the the details of my Zable CC to action the balance transfer and its came back rejected - apparently Zable are saying they don't allow bank transfers on their 'standard' car (ie the very expensive interest one) i'd need to qualify for a specific balance transfer card, This seems very unfair to customers best interests, and is actively disadvantaging me as someone recovering from poor credit, as is forcing me to keep paying off that card at the high rate when i'd always assumed i'd shift it to a lower rate one when my credit improved. Surely this would be a breach of Consumer Duty??

How do you normally make payments onto the Zable card?0

direct debits from bank account and additional ad hoc debit card payments when i've got anything spare0

You could potentially see if you're eligible for a Money Transfer card - this deposits money into your current account, and puts a corresponding debit on the card. You could then use the money to pay off the Zable. The one downside is that MT cards almost always charge a fee for doing the transfer, and it may be a low - rather than zero - APR. But it might be worth looking into.Of course, there's no guarantee you'd get accepted for an MT card, but there's no harm in doing a couple of eligibility checks, just to get an idea.0

BTW, it's VanquiS, and it sounds very odd that you apparently need a "specific balance transfer card" to transfer a balance FROM. The term 'balance transfer card' is usually used for a card that you transfer the balance TO, i.e. Vanqus in your case.0
