B&Q insists refund of online purchase made using gift vouchers in the form of credit note

I'm not convinced that CAB are right when they say you are bound by the conditions of the gift voucher.(?)
Who bought the gift voucher? Was it given to you as a gift or did you buy it yourself?
*If you didn't specifically tell them you were cancelling the contract, then you probably have to accept what B&Q tell you0
