HMRC VAT refund BACS delay

Options
Hi All. Just posting this here because I can't find an answer anywhere else. Probably worrying over nothing, but here goes.

Have been trading about a year, VAT refunds usually a smooth process. However I submitted this quarter's return on 1st July (evening) and it was approved and sent to my bank account the next day, no issues. It said it would take three working days.

Well it's been five, and the refund hasn't dropped into my account yet. I appreciate it's a little on the early side to start worrying about this, but since I can't find a similar experience online, and since the website always said 3 days, I was just wondering if this is fairly normal? Like I said, the return was approved with no issue and sent to my bank, so it says. Anyone been kept waiting a few extra days?

Finally got through to HMRC; apparently they've been having technical issues this month that causes it to display as approved and sent when it hasn't yet. Just in case anyone else is experiencing this.
