When a family friend was negotiating for buying a new house he bought the field, the hillside and half way down the other side bending his plot to prevent anybody building behind him or being overlooked by any building on the far side.No building was planned at the time but that can change.His next door neighbour did the same.0

If one of the main reasons you are buying this home is due to the field with sheep I would suggest walking away, as sad as that would be, it wouldn't be the home you want.
However, if there are other good big reasons for this house and being next to a bunch of new houses is ok then crack on. Yes you would be next to a building site but not for too long. Have a think about what it would all look like once the new houses are built.0
