What’s a better choice - integrated or angled cooker hoods?

I'm in the process of redoing my kitchen and kind of torn between two types of cooker hoods, both of whom I have no first-hand experience with.
The integrated one (non-pull out) looks nicer and can be more seamlessly integrated but I'm not sure how well they perform compared to angled hoods? The canopy will not cover the whole depth of the hob, and neither will angled but it will be slightly more. They are both quite high specced, with about 700 m3 suction power at max.
Can anyone please offer their view and experience on what would be a better choice? I'm leaning towards integrated one atm but have never used it so I'm not sure how effective they are.
P.S. The cooker hood will be ventilated outside not recirculating.

I think ones with similar spec will give the same performance, so it just comes down to looks.
One thing I would make sure of is that the filters can be cleaned in a dishwasher. That makes keeping them clean so much easier than having to replace elements.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I think those angled ones must be a complete nightmare to clean. I have integrated and it works a treat, also has a light. Does the angled one have a light? If they are both the same suction power there shouldn't be a difference in performance I wouldn't think.0

I went for angled on my latest kitchen - I've yet to bang my head on it like the other traditional triangular or pull out models.0

I would go for the one that is the quietest.1

I would go for the one I'm least likely to bang my head on. And then the quietest. I know someone with an integrated hob with a vent around it that sucks the air down, seems to work well.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. If you are tall - the angled one. I had integrated ones before and I was always hitting my head on the extended cupboard door while I was cooking.
I have an angled one now and as well as working great, I haven't hit my head on it yet!!0 -
The integrated one shown will not be a risk for head banging as it does not appear to be telescopic, nor does it have a door that will be angled open whilst in use. This type look pretty seemless/ gives clean lines for a contemporary look. I put mine in a normal wall unit as the hood units are very short (and more expensive). Think about your backsplash as well as some are not high enough to reach from worktop to bottom of hood and will need to be joined or there will be a gap which looks crap.2
