It’s perfectly fine for travel to Turkey with the dates you’ve supplied. Enjoy your trip and renew when you get back.

Turkeytravellersuite said:Hi, travelling abroad to Turkey from the UK on October 2025 for 1 week.
My current passport runs from Feb 2016 to Aug 2026, because back then we got the extra months. So technically it runs out Feb 2026.
The FCDO says to enter Turkey, your passport must have an ‘expiry date’ at least 150 days after the date you arrive and at least 1 blank page.
I have contacted the HM Passport office and my travel provider for clarification, and they keep referring me to the FCDO website, which doesn't clarify the expiry date, so is it Feb 2026 or August 2026?
No one will give me a definite answer, so I've had to email the Turkish Embassy - awaiting a response - can anyone help me please?UK passports issued before September 2018 could be valid for longer than 10 years, depending on whether you carried over any unexpired months from your previous passport.
It will still need to be less than 10 years old when entering the Schengen zone though.
Passport requirements can differ for European countries outside the Schengen zone, so it's important to check the government website well before your departure date. For example:
- Turkey. - Your passport must be valid for at least 150 days after the date you arrive. It must also have at least one blank page

Turkey is not in the Schengen area, nor in the EU.From Google search. For British passport holders entering Turkey for tourism, your passport must be valid for at least 150 days from your arrival date, and it must have at least one full blank page for entry and exit stamps. You do not need a visa for tourist visits of up to 90 days in any 180-day period.Turkey is an EU candidate country however there are ongoing obstacles to membership. If and when it is granted membership it may join the Schengen area like most EU members, Ireland and Cyprus the only two exceptions.0
