Notice for temporary parking suspension

Options
Opinions please.

Parking ticket received 24 June in Haringey, having parked in a regular residents' parking bay (I have a permit) which was, on the day in question, suspended. The signage itself was perfectly adequate, the signage having been put up on 18 June...so only 4 working days before. I did not see it due to traveling on holiday.

The purpose was council works - I think probably on trees.

Unless I am mistaken, I don't think any specific notice periods for these suspensions are specified by statute, other than it must be "reasonable".

Might that period be deemed not reasonable at any appeal?

Should assessment of reasonableness include the purpose and urgency of the works?  If it was planned, ie in the council diary for a long time, surely one could expect a longer period?

Who sent you the parking ticket?  Was it a PCN from Haringey council?  If so: -
Since we concentrate on parking charge notices from unregulated private parking companies, you would be better off taking this over to our friends on https://ftla.uk  (the recently started forum to replace/supplement Pepipoo), as they are the experts on council and police issues.
You will need register before reading the FAQs, then posting both sides of your PCN with your query.

Did you park before the 18th June and then leave the car until after the 24th?

You might want to contact MrMustard https://lbbspending.blogspot.com/ they specialise in tormenting London Borough Parking Departments challenging similarly unfair Penalty Charge Notices.

    Yes, PCN from Haringey.

I registered at FTLA and can read other posts, but cannot see any way to add a new post.

    My status is "activated".

Is there some problem with the site, to your knowledge?

I tried messaging the admin (andy_foster) but received no reply.

    Any ideas???
