Moved over to UC just over a month ago yet we are still getting housing benefit.
There is no housing allowance being paid via universal credit so we are no worse or better off and i prefer the rent being paid rather than us paying it.
I was under the impression that HB would stop once the claim was live, Is this ok to leave the claim as it is or would i need to inform UC what is happening?
Any reason why this has happened? I put all the correct landlord details and rent amounts down when moving from legacy benefits

Any reason that they could believe you are in assisted living?

i dont see why they would think that. I certainly didnt tick the box to say so when i applied.0

You get a two week run on for HB after you make a claim for UC. I think it would be wise to inform UC and the local council of this issue to get it corrected and ensure you are getting the correct payments from the correct organisation.0

I must admit the best thing to do when applying for anything with personal information is to photograph or screenshot your response. Of course people will be more inclined to get it completed rather than gathering evidence for future reasons.0
