Morning,thanks Gers.
It's looking a bit gloomy here, must be going to rain.
Yesterday was an ok day, well it was a bit of a nothing day really, did odd jobs and tidied up a bit in the garden.
Our Australian family are driving up from London tomorrow, we've already had screen link ups of course, They want a bit of grocery shopping, chilled stuff, so I'll get that tomorrow.
Ruby, Rob's situation is awful, so sad. You are right, something will happen, then it'll be ' this must never happen again' and ' lessons will be learned'. Sadly, they don't seem to be.
I should be going to the reading group this morning, but I'm not going, I have a few jobs here.
Thinking of our sad and poorly people, take care folks.

Morning allReally wet out there this morning but slowly clearing up. It'll do the garden good thoughStill got a numb bum from watching a marathon tennis match yesterday!Am off to the garden centre later to look for some replacements for some of the flowers that just haven't come to much this year. Don't know if there's much choice left but I'm sure I'll come back with something!Apart from that not alot going on here.Hope everyone has a good day x12

Good morning Gers, thanks for starting.
It looks like we have had rain overnight, stopped now and just cloudy.
Yesterday we had a big surprise as Mrs ND came home from hospital 2 weeks earlier than expected. They are very pleased with her progress and we have our friend back again. She will have to return for more treatment but for now it's working. She even joked about her hair loss saying shes saving a fortune on shampoo.
Today may be a trip to Lids, we only have 2 slices of bread left, and I know I have 2 freebies to pick up there, a bakery treat and a punnet of strawberries. No doubt more ice cream will find it's way into the trolley as the weather is set to get hot again this week.
That's all from me, have a good day all, take care.

Morning all and thanks for starting us off today @Gers x
We had torrential rain yesterday late afternoon noon and it started again at 4am - ask me how I know! Was awake from then on in with various work ideas rolling around. Boss is back today so will see if she calls me in for a chat. Nothing sinister @-taff but some basic stuff we could do so much better.I have couscous for lunch with beetroot from the allotment mmmmm. Dinner is courtesy of DD and will be sticky chicken yummy.Have a good day everyone

Morning all, thanks Gers. It looks a bit dull and rained hard last night. I've just put a bag out for a doorstep charity collection. The kitchen/diner needs a bit of a tidy - the trouble with 2 men around means random stuff like tools, car parts etc, boxes lie around for ages!I need to get something out of the freezer for tea, used up all the fresh stuff.Good to hear Mrs ND is home @remmie.School pick up later, have a good day:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all
Its been raining overnight but dried up now I think we are due some sun later I hope so as I have a load just finishing in the wm and another to go in.
It feels very strange not getting ready for Rob coming today and making plans with our friends, Short Bird yes maybe that is their definition of smooth transition, I will ask the question but for Rob it’s simply not enough, thank you for your comment xxx I need to finish the email to the MP today as well.
I have my zoom interview today at 11.30 and then I am going up to Mums to do some work there, my sister and I were in the process of looking for more help for her when I got given notice so it just makes more sense for me to do it, I shall be cooking her some dinners doing washing, cleaning etc and taking her out. We will give it a month and see how it’s going but I think it will be good for mum and she would rather have me than a stranger.
I shall do the chicken salad for dinner tonight, we didn’t have it the other night, we have some beetroot left from yesterday and some coleslaw that I made, I will also do some roasted new potatoes to go with it.
Dogs to be walked this morning and a quick tidy / hoover.
Remmie how nice to hear that Mrs NDN is home xx
Scarlett enjoy seeing your family xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A gloomy start here after overnight rain but set to improve as the showers are heading for the east coast now apparently.
I hope the weather for the coming week lives up to forecast with sunshine all the way with temps on the up again as I have only packed warm/hot weather clothes for my caravan jaunt. I have packed none perishable foodstuff already but fridge and freezer stuff on hold until the last minute.
I really enjoyed our DGD's show yesterday as there was a lot of musical theatre this time. The girls were in quite a lot of the performances and middle DGD had a solo contemporary ballet spot as well. Proud grandma or what!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Today will be a sad day for you RUBY without ROB. I just hope the powers that be don't come to regret their stupid decision. Take care all, stay safe. I'll be on sausage finger posting for the coming week as still no WIFI at the site. x

Good morning ☺️
I didn't get to stop by yesterday, as we went on a 16km hike through fields, woodland, and water. I was shattered by the time we got home, then had to sort the accompaniments to a chicken roast dinner, and my mushroom steaks. It didn't take me long to fall asleep once my head hit the pillow.
I don't plan on doing much today, especially housework. The only thing I'm washing is the hiking backpacks, as there was a bit of an accident with the sour cream in one of the salads, which leaked out. Typical, it was in my bag, and wasn't even mine!
Pizza has been requested, so I need to make up the bases at some point, and chop toppings, ready to be prepared later. I am going to have spiced red kidney beans and rice.
Cous cous and beetroot sounds lovely @Coxy11
Hope you all have a good day ☺️8 -
Morning everyone
I've had little one most of the weekend - we've had a lovely time together. On Saturday we went to see a film at our local cinema - she'd seen it before so kept whispering to me what would happen next. Then we went for at her favourite cafe,,,where she is treated like royalty! And then to the library where she joined the summer reading challenge...actually she's like royalty there too! So many people have followed her ups and downs during the last 6 years.
Yesterday she went with her mummy for a bit to a charity football match, where she was soon bored so was back with me by lunchtime. we played with lego then she had an hour or so on her new bike, new to her it only cost me £25.
She's doing so well just now,,,her night time feed has been stopped, with no problems. All she is having now is a high calorie feed at bedtime and regular checks of her blood sugars. Last week she did five full days at school for the first time this school year.
The last few weeks I kept noticing an unpleasant smell outside and putting bleach down the drain. Well yesterday I realised, after little one had been to the downstairs loo, that when you flush it's coming up through the manhole and then, when I checked later, the bath water came up too.
I rang housing association and someone will come this afternoon, luckily my friend across the road will be in so I'll leave a key with her.
Also the fan in my kitchen is going constantly and loudly...so an electrician will come on Wednesday.
Right my Tesco shop is sitting in the hallway so need to put it away.
I'm feeling sad for Rob today Ruby, just hoping someone sees sense and something will be done
Hope everyone has a good day x8
