Iweb Cancel an order Help.

Options
A bit of advise please .

I  placed two orders  on iweb ( one for Legal and general tech + HSBC world tracker )on the 3rd of July at 4.25pm which I want to cancel if possible.

On the iweb pending page it shows them in the pending deal - as active ( This order has not yet been executed ) but I cannot see the option to cancel them.

Is it still possible or too late ? I know the markets in the USA were closed on Friday which is why the maybe still pending  . Will phone tomorrow but was hoping there an option on the webpage.

London was open. Where are these listed? They sound like ETFs or Oeics so unless you had some sort of price limit on them which wasn't met they should have executed on Friday. IIRC iWeb will state pending until they settle but I might be wrong.

Did you get a live quote and accept it? Or instruct their agents to deal at best price?

The orders have been placed and will be dealt on Monday once the funds are priced. Normally around 12pm GMT.

    Too late to cancel.

For OEICs, which I have to assume is what is being bought here, as it was likely after cut-off on Thursday, they would have executed on Friday, but iWeb usually updates status and issues contract note on the next working day, which will be tomorrow.

For most UTs and OEICs IWeb's cut off time is 11am, so you're right that an order placed at 4.25pm on a Thursday would have been executed on Friday, and so the investments should appear on the list of investments and the contract note should be available on Monday morning.

The orders needed to have been cancelled before 11am on Friday morning at the latest, which would have to be by phone with IWeb.

No. If you phone IWeb early enough on Monday, and before the cutoff, they may be able to cancel the orders. It happened to me once (fat-fingered an order) and IWeb cancelled it without any problem.

Not if the order was placed on Thurs. It would have been processed on the Friday at the dealing point.
