Loan Delinquent but no default

Options
Hi All

Thanks in advance.

I have just noticed that one of my loans are appearing as delinquent on my credit file, but I've never had a default on my credit file?

Any ideas what this means? / What should I do?

    Delinquent just means it's late.

Whether it's late enough for them to default you is another matter.

What to do? If it's up to date and you weren't late, query it. If it's late, pay it.

You complain in writing to the creditor concerned, insist the account be defaulted and backdated to when you started debt management, in line with FCA guidance.

They have 8 weeks to issue you a final response.

You can then escalate to the FOS/ICO if not happy with the outcome.
