I guess i'll just pay the £60. Today is the 14th day so i'm still in time. Kryten3000, I totally agree with you, but apparently it doesn't invalidate the fine? As I said, I wouldn't mind taking it to court as I have done this before but taking into account what Gr1pr said, ill just pay and get it over with as the only defence I have isn't a defence it seems. :(
    What?!!

No! Nobody pays. Don't become part of the problem by funding a scam - eek!

This is NOT A FINE. You do NOT pay these.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So i;ve had a reply from them about my complaint related to covert surveillance and they are lying through their teeth. Saying that the warden was on foot (he most definitely was not and the glare of his windscreen is seen from their own pics). The food cart has also confirmed the same description of the guy in the car and the car itself as I saw behind me. They are saying they are not required to approach the driver when taking pics and anyone in the vehicle would have seen he was taking pictures. So why were the pics from the back and not from the front? Am I supposed to have eyes at the back of my head. WHAT LIARS.

What would you suggest next in terms of complaining to the ICO. @Coupon-mad I think you may have an idea.

I know the ticket is a different matter now, I already paid it but I still want to go after them for their improper practice. I know people on this thread may be annoyed I paid, but it was clearly a risky case to take forward as my defence wasn't the strongest so I cant risk having to pay the full £100 so just paid the £60 within the deadline.

    This is their response:

    --------------

Please be advised that, any vehicle that is stationary is considered to be parked. As such, the Parking Charge Notice was issued correctly. The warning signs clearly state “No Parking” in the restricted area.

With regard to your concerns about the issuing of the PCN, we can confirm that the warden was on foot and the images were not taken covertly. Our wardens are not required to approach motorists directly to explain the terms and conditions, as this information is clearly outlined on the signage displayed throughout the site.

Following a review of the warden’s evidence, the images were taken at close range and are in full view. Any person present in the vehicle at the time would have been able to see the warden taking the photographs.

Please also note that only Approved Operators of the British Parking Association (BPA) or the International Parking Community (IPC) are authorised to request registered keeper details from the DVLA under the KADOE (Keeper at Date of Event) contract. Our signage clearly states that we may request the keeper’s details from the DVLA for enforcement purposes.

Further information about our enforcement procedures can be found on the IPC website, and you may also view our privacy policy directly on our website.

This concluded the complaint on our end. If you are not satisfied you can take this further with the International Parking Community.

Oh dear you have been had, this is a well known honey trap on here, the signage is abysmal, it does not conform to the Joint COP, the parking company have left it like this for years to trap people, that's why the attendant is there permanently.
I suspect you parked on the left of the photo below.
Also the signs that are there if you search for them are forbidding i.e. they do not offer a contract, so there can be no demand for payment as there is nothing on offer (no parking at any time, I believe).
You have suffered an expensive lesson and need to move on, pity you paid them you won't get anything back, get on with your life don't waste any more time on the greedy dimwits.

    @James_Poisson - Yes, that's exactly where I parked :(

It seems like they have updated the signs since the google maps pic was taken. This is the updated sign. Yes, unfortunately, I know I won't get anything back. I guess because I was so close to the 14 day deadline, I just panicked and paid it. Before I paid, @Coupon-mad did mention on another thread that I should complain to them about covert surveillance then take to forward to the ICO after getting their standard response which im still happy to do if it gets them in trouble/makes them sweat regardless of the money i've burnt paying that stupid PCN. @gr1pr - thanks for letting me know they are on holiday.
