JOHN & LISA’S WEEKEND KITCHEN PRIZE DRAW: TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY (“Prize Draw”)

 

Who can enter:

 

The Prize Draw is open to entrants who are: (a) resident in the UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man during the competition period and prize fulfilment period; (b) aged 18 years or over; and (c) not employees of the Promoter, companies within the ITV group of companies, STV Group PLC or the prize provider and their associated agencies or affiliated companies, or are an immediate family member of the same (including any live-in partner); and (d) not in any way or professionally connected with the Prize Draw.

 

Please note that entrants must have a UK, Channel Islands or Isle of Man phone number and address in order to be eligible to win the Prize Draw.

Prize: 

 

There is one prize consisting of four thousand pounds (£4,000) cash (“Cash”), and a six thousand pounds (£6,000) voucher to be redeemed against a Sandals Resorts or Beaches Resorts holiday (“Holiday Voucher”).

 

(i) Holiday Voucher

 

This element of the Prize consists of a six thousand pounds (£6,000) voucher to be redeemed against a Sandals Resorts or Beaches Resorts holiday.

 

The Holiday Voucher can be used against the winner’s holiday(s) to any Sandals Resorts or any Beaches Resorts on sale through the prize provider, for any available departure date for travel returning to the UK by 31 December 2027 (the “Travel Redemption End Date”). 

 

The Holiday Voucher must be used to make a package booking(s) and/or purchase products or services as indicated below before the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date (as stated below). 

 

The Holiday Voucher cannot be redeemed through any third-party tour operators or travel agents, even if the third party sells holidays to Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts. The Holiday Voucher can only be redeemed through the Holiday Prize Provider.

The Holiday Voucher winner must be the lead passenger and must travel on all bookings that the Holiday Voucher is redeemed against.

 

All of the Holiday Voucher winner’s booking(s) for accommodations using the Holiday Voucher are subject to availability.

 

The Holiday Voucher shall expire at midnight on 30 September 2026 (the “Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date”), after which, it can no longer be redeemed. Any remaining funds on the Holiday Voucher will expire and be deemed null and void. If the Holiday Voucher winner is unable to redeem the Holiday Voucher before the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date, the Holiday Voucher and/or any unused funds will be forfeited. For the avoidance of doubt, all travel booked using the Holiday Voucher can be taken-up after the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date provided that the Holiday Voucher is redeemed by the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date and travel must be completed by the Travel Redemption End Date.

 

The Holiday Voucher is not transferable and cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for cash. The Holiday Voucher has no cash and/or refund value. The Holiday Voucher can be used to purchase flights and accommodation together as a package holiday or used to purchase accommodation only. For the avoidance of doubt, the Holiday Voucher cannot be used to purchase flights alone. 

 

The Holiday Voucher will be provided in the form of a PDF issued in the name of the Prize winner, and as the lead passenger their name will be used to track the spend against the Holiday Voucher in the Holiday Prize Provider’s booking system. 

 

All booking(s) must be made with the dedicated Holiday Prize Provider’s agent on email as stated below or over the phone. The Holiday Voucher cannot be redeemed online. The Holiday Voucher can be redeemed by emailing pressoffice@sandals.co.uk. The press office will put the winner in touch with a dedicated agent at the Holiday Prize Provider. The Holiday Voucher winner can advise the agent of their preferred travel dates and resort of choice for a quote to be provided at that day’s price. The quote provided by the Holiday Prize Provider’s agent on that day’s pricing is final. Pricing is live and subject to change and availability if the booking is not locked in the same day. The booking cannot be held if the Holiday Voucher winner decides that they don't want to finalise their booking at that time. Full payment is due at the time of booking when using all or part of the Holiday Voucher as payment. 

 

The Holiday Voucher can be used for multiple bookings, up to the value of six thousand pounds (£6,000) before the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date. However, if the value of the booking(s) exceeds six thousand pounds (£6,000) the winner is fully liable to pay the additional cost at the time of booking or the booking will not be confirmed. If the cost of the booking(s) is less than the full value of the Holiday Voucher and the winner doesn’t use the balance towards another booking before the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date, the remaining funds on the Prize Voucher will be deemed null and void and are forfeited. 

 

The Holiday Voucher can be used against the following products, booked through the Holiday Prize Provider as part of a holiday package before the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date. All products are subject to availability.

 

• International flights from the UK to the Caribbean as part of a package holiday booking with accommodation.
• Domestic/connecting flights if they are on sale through the Holiday Prize Provider as part of a package holiday booking with accommodation.
• No. 1 Lounge passes as part of a package holiday booking. 
• Selected ‘Island Routes’ tours on sale through the Holiday Prize Provider as part of a package holiday booking.
• Selected spa treatments on sale through the Holiday Prize Provider as part of a package holiday booking. 
• Selected resort extras such as a private candlelit dinner on sale through the Holiday Prize Provider as part of a package holiday booking. 

 

Once a booking is confirmed using the Holiday Voucher, there will be an administration fee for any changes made to the reservation. Other charges may apply according to the airline e.g., ticket reissue fees. If the value of the new holiday booked is higher than the original holiday, the winner will be liable to pay the difference. The difference can be paid from the Holiday Voucher if there are available funds on the Holiday Voucher. If there are no available funds on the Holiday Voucher, the winner shall be fully liable to pay the difference. If the value of the new holiday is less than the original holiday, the winner will not be entitled to a refund of the difference. 

 

If the reservation using all or part of the Holiday Voucher is cancelled by the winner prior to the Holiday Voucher’s Expiration Date, no refund will be provided in either cash or voucher form but the winner will be able to book an alternative holiday subject to availability and the winner shall be liable to pay any administration fees, change fees and fare increases. Travel must still be completed by the Travel Redemption End Date. If the reservation is cancelled by Holiday Prize Provider for any reason, the Holiday Prize Provider shall offer the winner a replacement holiday at the same value as the original holiday. 

 

Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts are all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. Accommodations are inclusive of all meals, premium brand beverages, daily and nightly entertainment, an array of land and water sports activities including scuba diving (for certified divers), snorkeling, Wi-Fi in rooms and public areas, resort gratuities, resort taxes and resort transfers to and from the selected or designated resort airport in the Caribbean. There are no restrictions on the number of travel companion(s) however, Sandals Resorts are for couples and all rooms and suites feature one king sized bed. Beaches Resorts are family friendly and the winner may bring travel companion(s) under the age of 18 years old. The Holiday Voucher cannot be used to purchase flights only and/or any other transport that is not on sale through the Holiday Prize Provider. In addition, the Holiday Voucher cannot be used to purchase anything at a Sandals Resorts or a Beaches Resorts including but not limited to items at the specialty or gift shops, telephone calls, ‘Red Lane’ spa treatments or services not booked through the Holiday Prize Provider in advance and travel, tours and excursions not booked through the Holiday Prize Provider in advance and travel, inter island transportation not booked through the Holiday Prize Provider in advance and travel, SCUBA certification courses, island departure taxes, weddings, wine from the manager’s wine list, ground transportation (outside of local airport transfers on the island where the selected or designated resort is located), travel insurance, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees and taxes, tests and vaccination, visas and ESTAs.

Employees and their immediate families of the prize provider and their associated agencies or affiliated companies are not eligible to enter to win. 

 

Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts each reserves the right to relocate the Holiday Voucher winner from the selected resort to an alternative resort in the selected resort’s chain prior to taking up the holiday if the rooms become unavailable for the travel dates booked due to any circumstance completely beyond the selected resort’s control. Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts each reserves the right to substitute the selected resort for another resort in the selected resort’s chain in a similar category based on availability of space for the secured travel dates, and to change dates without prior notice for any circumstance(s) beyond the selected resort’s control and if such circumstance(s) so require. Where the Holiday Prize Provider has to relocate and/or substitute the selected resort for another resort in the selected resort’s chain, the Holiday Prize Provider shall use its best endeavours to offer an alternative resort in the same area within the country as the selected resort, however this may not always be possible. Where this is not possible, the Holiday Prize Provider will provide the winner with an alternative holiday in another country as the selected resort. The terms and conditions agreed to shall apply with equal applicability to any resort, which is the subject of substitution or deviation. Neither Holiday Prize Provider nor Sandals Resorts and/or Beaches Resorts shall be liable for any claim made whatsoever, including but not limited to loss, compensation, or refund by reason of such substitution or deviation before departure. Notwithstanding the foregoing, where prize provider makes a change to the reservation prior to departure, the winner shall have the choice to either: (i) accept such alteration; or (ii) book an alternative holiday on the same date(s) or at later date(s).

 

The Holiday Voucher winner agrees and as a condition of possibly being awarded the Holiday Voucher to release and hold harmless the Holiday Prize Provider and its affiliated companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, successors, assigns and insurers from and against any and all claims, causes of action and/or liability for any injuries, illness, death, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with receipt or possession, use or misuse of the Holiday Voucher or any element thereof. 

 

Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts each reserves the right to implement or modify health protocols, policies and procedures at any time as needed, in keeping with public health guidance and applicable law.

 

The Holiday Voucher winner is responsible for checking the travel and entry protocols for the destination that they are travelling to before they depart and ensuring that they fully understand and comply with any such protocols. For example, some destinations may require all guests to be fully vaccinated and/or to obtain a negative PCR Covid-19 test a certain number of days pretravel and post travel, to return to your original destination. The winner is responsible for checking the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (“FCDO”) website before travel and the official Government website for the country they are visiting for all pre and post travel protocols. The Holiday Prize Provider and/or Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts shall not be responsible for any additional costs incurred for any required test or any other pre-travel or post-travel requirements. 

 

The Holiday Prize Provider, Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts and/or any of their related entities shall have the right to comply with any and all orders, recommendations, or directions whatsoever given by any government entity or by persons purporting to act with such authority, and such compliance shall not be deemed a breach of any agreement or any agreement entitling the guests to assert any claim for liability, compensation or refund. 

 

The Holiday Voucher winner should check the Gov.co.uk website for travel advice and other information prior to entering the Prize Draw. 

 

In the event of any conflict between the Holiday Voucher terms and conditions and the UCHL Terms and Conditions, these Holiday Voucher Terms and Conditions shall take precedence to the extent of such conflict. 

 

This section provides for the exclusive resolution of disputes through individual legal action and supersedes any law entitling guest to participate in a class action. This class action waiver precludes guest from participating in or being represented in any class or representative action regarding any claim brought under as a result of any agreement. Even if applicable law provides otherwise, guest agrees that any arbitration or lawsuit against any entity under the unique group and/or sandals resorts whatsoever shall be litigated by guest individually and not as a member of any class or as part of a class action, and guest expressly agrees to waive authority to arbitrate claims on a class action basis. If guest's claim is subject to legal proceeding under foreign selection and choice of law provisions of the accommodations, amenities, transportation and other products or services terms and conditions (available here for Sandals Resorts: www.sandals.com/terms-conditions/) and available here for Beaches Resorts: https://www.beaches.com/general/terms/ The guest further agrees and acknowledges that the class action waiver is material and essential to the proceeding of any disputes between the parties and is non-severable from the agreement to any claims herein. The validity and effect of this class action waiver may be determined only by a judge or court of law. Guest agrees that this section shall not be severable under any circumstances from the forum selection and choice of law provision set forth in the terms and conditions. guest agrees that the parties referenced in foreign selection and choice of law provisions of the terms and conditions that may be the subject of any claim by guest can receive immediate judicial assistance to enforce this class action waiver.

 

(ii) Cash

 

This element of the Prize consists of four thousand pounds (£4,000) made payable by BACS in the name of the entrant only. 

 

The Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to positively amend the prize during the Prize Draw period by either: (i) increasing the amount of a cash prize; and/or (ii) offering additional prize(s).
