What happens when you emigrate?

Options
Hi all,

I have a G24 Limited Parking case, with DCB Legal acting. Case is currently at the DQ stage… however I am emigrating to Australia permanently on 29th July, so won’t be able to attend a hearing.

Does anyone know what will happen in this situation? I’ve put this in the DQ questionnaire and also repeated it in the body of the email, along with evidence of flight and visa. I also don’t know my permanent address as going travelling for 2 months first so asked for email correspondence going forward.

Wondering if they will carry on given they’d have to enforce any judgment in Aus? I know UK has reciprocal agreement with Aus, so if they do continue, how will this work?

Welcome anyone’s knowledge/thoughts.

Thanks!

Not OK. Emails will not happen.

You're in danger of losing by default because you will miss a requirement from the court. You must nominate an alternative UK address for service where you can be reached. Friend or family. Get them to email you when post arrives, so you can see it through.

There will be no hearing but you need a postal address to get you past the court orders along the way until DCB Legal discontinue.
