Horizon Parking Charge

Hello everyone.
My mum was recently invited to a party at a hotel where she parked her car, at this hotel you need to register your car registration to avoid a parking charge but she never knew this. I'm not sure about signage but I'm guessing there wasn't anything clear.
Anyway we received a parking charge from Horizon and I'm not really sure if we can successfully appeal.
One thing to note is that I believe DVLA have the wrong spelling of my mum's name, and therefore the letter we received has the wrong spelling of her name too.
I appreciate any advice/help in advance.

I've realised I've left the PC number and reg not blocked out at the bottom, seems you can't edit either 🤦🏻♂️1

She should fix her name on the V5c log book with the DVLA
Then plan A in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, a complaint to the hotel and get the hotel to cancel the pcn ASAP
Registering a vehicle is common practice these days, especially at hotels, clubs, pubs, restaurants etc3 -
