Hello again, it's a grey start here, and it looks as if it's rained overnight.
Dh has a medical appointment this morning, the surgery he's going to is within a retail park so I might do a bit of shopping there.
That's the main event today.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good day - take care folks.15 -
Good morning Scarlet, I hope you enjoyed your meal yesterday.
A bright sunny start, although the temperatures are more bearable, 23 today but with a breeze.
Plans for today include filing down big dogs dew claws. Although he's walked on different surfaces they never wear down. It takes both of us to do it, me to fuss and give treats, while DH files. The glamour of owning a furry friend.
Other than that only usual chores to do, I see the fridge needs a tidy again.
Ruby, I hope that won't be your last day with Rob, and you get some answers soon. Hugs.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope you enjoyed your meal.
Raining this morning and set for the day, no washing to do so not all bad. I'll have to visit the allotment to check on the courgettes, there are plenty but not very big and some are rotting. Probably more broad beans to pick - I'll not plant so many next year!
I had the little one yesterday, she was a joy as usual but quite tired from her dance show, it was a very late night for her (and me). We were playing 'go fish' and she managed to cheat - need to keep an eye on her!
A swim this morning but not a lot else on, need to sort some clothes for going to DS2's next week - looks like it'll be quite warm but thankfully not the 39 degrees they had earlier in the week.
Glad you had a good holiday Ruby and your goodbye to Rob wasn't too painful. Hopefully the authorities will see sense and review the situation.
Happy Friday, can't believe that's a week of my holidays over already. Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope DH's appointment goes well. It looks a bit overcast out there and the weatherman said there is a chance of light rain later for some. I hope that's not the end of summer now!
I've just been lurking upstairs with a much needed colour on my hair so I'm a bit behind myself now. Just loaded the wm but will it get pegged out or on the airer if there is a chance of light rain.
DD and her DP are in Cardiff for the first night of the Oasis tour. This was booked last year when the tour was first announced. It's the DP who is the biggest fan. Unfortunately tickets and 2 hotel nights were booked long before the date of middle DGD's prom was announced - which is tonight!! Everything is organised and I am going down this afternoon to help where I can. She is so excited despite her mum not being there. Her dress is fabulous (and very expensive) Once ready in all her finery she is going to her bestie's house for the limo picking them up. Her dad is supposed to be picking me up and eventually taking her up to her DF's. If he lets her down on this he will have me to answer to. Mr Unreliable has always been his middle name (hence why he is DD's ex DH.
Well the Friday Tidy awaits so better get myself moving. Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"14 -

Hope middle DGD’s prom goes well @TravellingAbuela x

Morning all, a bit grey today after a lovely one yesterday Thanks for starting Scarlet.Ruby sounds like you had a good time in Corfu
& glad you tried not to think too much about Robs problem - hope he's ok going forward.
Spent a bit of time tinkering in the garden yesterday, went for my walk and then we went to DGS leavers show- it was brilliant. They must all have worked so hard. We dropped him back at his mums as there was another showing last night that she and SD were going to, bet he was shattered after 2 performances. DH was really pleased to have watched it before he had his knee op. He has a pre op appointment this morning for bloods. Might see if he can drop me at MrTs first as a couple of things didnt arrive with my delivery yesterday, or might leave it until tomorrow.I think I'll get some bedding on the line this morning. Not sure on tea yet.Have a good day all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Nice and sunny here but not sweltering hot.
First load of washing is on the line and I have some ironing to do in a while. JL will be coming to measure up for new curtains downstairs this morning; the current ones are at least 25 years old and I ripped the lining a bit more pulling them the other day. Unfortunately we need 3 matching pairs, including ones for the patio door, as we have an L shaped living/dining room.
I did wonder about making a cake or a few cookies but will see how the day goes. Meeting up with friends for a pub meal this evening so looking forward to that.
Hope everyone has a good day.13 -
Good morning 😊
Yesterday, was a good day. I went to see my neighbour, where we chatted and drank coffee, then went to see my friend where we also chatted, and drank coffee. On the afternoon, I went to the local shop for a few things, then into the town to the market. Back at home we watched the women’s Euros, so I did a lot of sitting down for a lot of the day. Surprisingly, I was very tired by the time I got into bed.
On to today, and I’m doing sticky chicken with rice for the meat eaters, and a mushroom biryani for myself.
Chores are:
1) Deep clean main bathroom, including sweeping and mopping the floor.
2) Change bedding.
3) Clear letter rack.
4) Wash, and disinfect kitchen waste bin.
Hope you all have a good day 😊12
