still getting spin the wheel

after leaving octopus in may, i still have the octopus app on the phone
account has been closed & final bill issued also closed on my credit file
i was messing about with the app, and spin the wheel still works
so i give it 2 spins and gained 2 x £1 and went straight onto my balance
so if i keep getting this every month and i return to octopus its money in the bank
so anyone thats left octopus give it a try

Chances of winning a £1 are extremely low, I've been doing it for years and only won £1 once, always the 8p.
So you're likely to collect a £1 over a year and then.. it may just stay there forever. Octopus may not let you withdraw it as you're no longer a customer and even when you become they may give you a new account.

A lot of hassle for a risky £1 sadly

You have to go to the website now to use it. For some unknown reason it's no longer shown in the app.

I was able to spin for a few months after leaving, but it was disabled when my account was completely settled. Though I am back with them now.

A lot of non-trivial prizes have been reported this month. No such luck for me sadly.

Cheers. Ive found a spin button on the Octoplus page but it only allowed two spins in total - before there were buttons for Gas and Elec in the app each allowing 2 spins with a smart meter

You won't get the meter spins unless your readings are taken before you try.

You can still get the Octoplus rewards (eg Greggs or Nero coffees) so long as you don't cancel your DD (or reinstate it).  Whether you still need to have a small credit balance showing as well I'm not sure - I have had the final bill several months ago but there's still about 18p showing as a credit balance which came from spins after I'd left, even though I've had the final bill).  Reckon I've had my eight pence worth lol.  

And I still get Spin the Wheel spins despite no meter readings being recorded ...not that I expect to get paid out on those (and don't want to be cheeky and ask in case they stop the other freebies, unless of course I win the 800,000 Octopoints )
