land of leather sofa's - are they any good?

I've been looking in the sales for leather sofa's. Unfortunately I need to change my fabric ones to leather due to having developed a dust mite allergy. Apparently dust mites can't live in leather sofa's.
I don't have any transport as I don't drive, which makes the whole thing much harder. I've never actually bought brand new sofa's before so don't really know what to look for in getting a good one. I'm on a really tight budget, with no more than £600 including delivery to spend.
I've seen a sofa suite I like the look of on the land of leather website. http://www.landofleather.co.uk/acatalog/Suite_Range_New______The_Claudio_Special_Offer_318.html
Just wondered if anyone has bought from them before, and what their thoughts were on the quality.
Obviously only having £600 tops to spend means I'm not going to be able to get top of the range etc, but it will need to last me for several years to come.
I'm concerned about buying without being able to go and see it first. But I really have no choice. All the sofa stores anywhere near where I live are actually a fair distance away, so I just can't get to them with no car.
If anyone has any advice I'd be grateful. Thanks.

Hi, We purchased a 3 and 2 seater sofa suite from Land of Leather last year in the sale. Very pleased with the suite and quick delivery. Delivery I think is £59 but they unpack and make sure you are happy with the suite. We went to the shop and had a few to choose from, some were not as good as others for us but if you can't get to the shop then you would not know until it arrived. It might be worth ringing your nearest store and checking if the cushions, seat and back are fixed or not. My old suite was not and it was a real problem to keep pushing the cushions back in, this time we went for fixed cushions, much better. I have chocolate brown leather but it is very dark, the shades varied quite a bit. I hope this helps.

I have a leather suite from Land of Leather, I couldn't be more happy with it. I've had it for over a year now and it looks just as good as when I first brought it. It has softened up nicely through sitting on it.
The delivery price was quite high so we decided to collect it from the shop to save on the cost.0 -
We got our suite from Land of Leather and had no problems, the suite is very good quality. Ours was an ex display one and we got a good deal on it, im very pleased with it.0

I went into Land of Leather on a cold Thursday in January 07 & bought a leather 3 seater & 2 seater. (not leather "match" as a lot of them are). We asked about delivery & they said "Are you in on Sunday?" & sure enough 3 days later my suite was here. They unpacked it & even put it into the position I wanted it in my living room.
Very pleased with it, I love it to bits.
They do try & sell you a leather cleaner kit thingy for about £50 I think it was but you can get the stuff in loal supermarkets for less than a tenner.
Hope this helps

I have had no experience as far a buying from Land of Leather but I know that their furniture is only a leather match, therefore, it maybe that only 1 out of the 3 cussions on your sofa is actual leather, thats the main reason why they are so cheap. I have heard bad reviews of this shop from all over the place, so be careful. If you are wanting cheap and chearful then go for it, but as far a quality goes its a no go for mine.0

Just for the record.. my Land of leather sofas were both 100% leather as per my previous post & not leather match

We have ours two years and we are very happy with it. It gets abused with three children and so far so good.0

My opinion - DO NOT TOUCH LAND OF LEATHER with a barge pole!
Put Land of Leather into Google and read a couple of the threads that come up.
Of course there are good stories but from hands on experience they are definately not a reputable company! If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' someone else's dog around!0 -
We got ours this time last year and then noticed it was £200-£300 cheaper in the May sale albeit the sofa was now a different name so we couldn't claim the difference.
Quality of the sofa is good though and we're happy with it0 -
I had my suite for 7 years and it was well worth the price at the time.
It stood a good battering from my kids. I only changed it as it had biro pen all over it! Yikes!!"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0
