Unfair treatment
People who use gas and electricity and obtain all their fuel from one supplier are normally able to claim a substantial discount on their bill, but people, like me, who are obliged to be all-electric and obtain all their fuel,i.e. electricity, from one supplier get no discount. Are we being treated unfairly? I think so, how do others feel about it?

No one is obliged to be all electric, though for some it would be very expensive to have gas installed/ connected to their property.
Why do you think you are being treated unfairly? You choose to live where you do. If you don't like it, move to somewhere where you can receive gas and electric!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Why do you consider this unfair?
I use Asda as it is closer to me and do not have car, why do they not give me Tesco points?Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

If you rent you dont really have a choice whether its all electric. Its not that easy moving as you have to think of the cost of rent too.0 -
Sorry my text smilies have gone walkabout!
Be fair to OP, not every one has the luxury of choosing where they live and what services are linked to the property they occupy.
OP: l I can see where you coming from but if you want unfair - come to NI, we have so little choice of providers here for all main services [electricity, piped gas - if you can get it!]. Most of us have no choice but [highly priced] oil fired central heating ..... and you wouldn't believe what we pay for bread!
I think the only bits we are ahead on at the mo are council and water tax, no doubt that'll soon change.
Oh yes and we get hammered for surcharges by a lot of companies on delivery costs.
Off to get my smilies back!

You can still get a discount if you pay by direct debit and with some you can collect nectar points0

You could always use someone like Equipower, where everyone pays the same regardless of the way they pay, how many services they take, etc.0
