Dwp rip offs

Hi all me and my wife just migrated from old style esa income related we was claiming carers allowance as well we cancelled carers as soon as uc started but they still continueed to pay for around a month after
So esa were deducting carers from our awards which we are fine about as that's been like that for around 10 years but since uc became involved they are also deducting the same amount so we were getting £83.30 each from carers so 166.60 our argument with uc is why is esa taking 166.60 from our awards and uc also taking 166.60
Which as basically left us with £0 from uc this month and not even enough to cover our rent
All i get from the helpline is that's how uc works and carers is a income
So basically are they allowed to do that any help will be much appreciated thanks in advance

Your Income Related ESA has now ended and been replaced by Universal Credit.

Any Contributions Based ESA will have converted automatically into New Style ESA.

New Style ESA is deducted in full like Carers Allowance.

Carers Allowance, New Style ESA and Universal Credit are all income replacement benefits. Under the welfare system a person is entitled to one income replacement benefit. Hence deductions from your UC award.

However your zero award UC statement could still be incorrect, do you perhaps have something missing on there? The first statement being wrong isn't uncommon.

You can try a benefits calculator to see if your statement matches, or get advice from a trained benefits adviser.

When did you claim UC, cancel the CA, and when did they stop paying CA?  How many UC payments/statements have you had?

You don't yet have enough posts to post a screenshot or link to it hosted somewhere else, but can you copy and paste what your UC statement(s) says?
